Jeff Deppe
Committed to Service

I believe in our community. And I believe in listening, and turning good ideas into action. Together we can stop the loss of population, improve our schools,  rebuild our roads, bridges, and dams, and create opportunities for working people.

I ask you for your ideas, and I humbly ask for your vote.

About Jeff

A native of the Illinois side of the Quad Cities, Jeff was raised by a working single mother. His grandparents were farmers. He was taught that working hard and helping others go hand in hand.

For the last 27 years, Jeff has been a laborer and member of the Laborers International Union Local 309. He’s proud to have helped build important parts of our local infrastructure, including the Moline Library, the TaxSlayer Center, Unity Point Hospital, and the John Deere Road Corridor.

As Treasurer and Field Representative for the union, Jeff works to ensure workers are treated fairly. It’s something he believes in strongly - that every worker should be respected in the workplace and receive fair pay and benefits.

Jeff also serves as a member of the Rock Island County Board, where he has taken bold steps to provide superior service and reduce bureaucratic and tax burdens for the people of the County.

When he has free time, Jeff volunteers to help build wheelchair ramps for veterans and he pours concrete for Habitat for Humanity. He works with a faith-based organization to help keep at-risk young people out of the criminal justice system, is a member of the Rock Island NAACP and LULAS Council 10, and serves as Vice-Chair of the Rock Island County Democrats as well as Illinois Vice-President of the Quad Cities Federation of Labor.
